Interacting With Townsfolk (NPCs)
Interacting with townsfolk is important in Diablo II. They tell you about relevant events and
people in the world of Sanctuary, and some offer goods or services to assist you in your
adventures. Urgent News - An NPC with an exclamation point (!) overhead has urgent news for
you. Usually, the news is important information about completing your quests and advancing in the
game. You should approach and talk to any townsfolk with an "!" overhead.
